Points Based System (Tier 4) Guidance for International Students
UKBA has announced PBS Tier 4 System in Year 2009 based on which students are required to obtain 40 points to apply and gain UK study visa. These points can be met as follows;
A. Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) - 30 Points
Students are required to obtain CAS which is a confirmation of acceptance of studies from a Licenced College by UKBA under Tier 4. Students get 30 points based on a valid CAS.
B. Maintenance of Funds - 10 Points
Students are required to show a Bank Statement with a balance of £5400*/£7200** for last 28 days. Students get 10 points by showing bank statement with the required balance.

Please note that SIRM is based outer London (Essex) and our students are required to show £5400 towards their maintenance funds. As par the new Tier 4 Immigration rules, students are required to produce IELTS (B1 for Level 4/5 and B2 for Level 6/7) and cannot work either full or part time unless allowed.
