Library @ SIRM
Welcome to the SIRM college library!
Please use this guide to help you get the most from the library.
The library uses a numerical referencing system to organise the books and make them easier to find. The books are divided into categories and sub-categories that correspond to their classification number. The classification number is on a white sticker on the spine of each book.
e.g.
Management = 658
Marketing = 658.8

Loaning Books

· Once you have found the book(s) you would like to loan, take it to the librarian who will process them on the system and deactivate the security tag
· If your book comes with a CD-ROM, the librarian will make a note of it so it can be checked when you return the book
· The librarian will tell you when the book(s) is due back (If a book is late being returned, the student will be banned from loaning further books for a period of up to a month. This is at the librarian’s discretion)
· Whilst books are on loan, it is the student’s responsibility to look after them and return them in the same condition
