Accreditations, Agreements, Registrations and Alignments 

Sponsor Licence 

SIRM is on the Register of  Sponsor Licence under Tier 4. For more information please log on to www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk and search for Register of Sponsor to view our name.

Accreditation Service for International Colleges (ASIC)

The School of Information Risk Management (SIRM) has been accredited by ASIC for Stage 3 for independent, further and higher education. ASIC is an independent body whose aim is to improve and enhance standards of independent further and higher education institutions in the United Kingdom by the establishment of a system of accreditation.

University of Gloucestershire

SIRM has a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Gloucestershire (UoG) for the admission of SIRM students. UoG has approved our Postgraduate Diplomas for managed progression to the following courses:

MSc Computing with Systems Security and Management

MSc Business Administration

MBA Business Administration

Holders of SIRM PgD in Information Security and Assurance (ISA) and PgD in Business Studies can apply to join the University of Gloucestershire for the courses listed above to obtain a full Masters degree. Students are required to fulfill the University admissions criteria to gain successful entry. The decision to admit students rests with the University of Gloucestershire.

Anglia Ruskin University

"Anglia Ruskin University has approved the award postgraduate diploma for successful completion of the ABP PgDip Information Security and Assurance award when applied against Anglia Ruskin University MSc Network Security postgraduate degree. Holders of the PgDip will be required to achieve an additional 60/75 postgraduate credits by submission of a Dissertation. Upon successful completion of a Dissertation, candidates will be awarded the Anglia Ruskin University Masters degree of MSc Network Security. Students are required to fulfill University entry criteria for Dissertation Submission”

Association of Business Practitioners (ABP) 

ABP is the ‘sister’ organisation of the Association of Business Executives (ABE), a awarding body, recognised by the regulatory authorities for qualifications (including OFQUAL).  ABP has accredited a range of SIRM Postgraduate Diploma programs and will issue certificates to candidates who successfully complete an ABP-accredited program at SIRM. The Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA)

As of 9 August 2006, the SIRM curriculum as submitted to ISACA was found to be in alignment with the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Model Curriculum. Graduates of this program qualify for one year work experience toward the Certified Information Systems Auditor™ designation Click here. Association of Computer Professionals (ACP)


We are pleased to announce that SIRM has been fully accredited by the Association of Computer Professionals (ACP). SIRM is now offering Certificate, Diploma and Advance Diploma courses affiliated with ACP. ACP Diploma and Advance Diploma are acceptable by the UK leading universities to gain entry into the 2nd and 3rd year of BSc program. University of Greenwich accepts holders of ACP Advance Diploma (with distinction in all four modules) for the entry onto the third year of BSc (Hons) program. Students can chose any of these programs in Final Year; BSc (Hons) in Computing, BSc (Hons) Information Systems and BSc (Hons) Information Technology.

The Organisation for Tourism and Hospitality Management (OTHM)

SIRM is fully accredited by OTHM. The long term academic partners of OTHM, The London South Bank University has signed an articulation agreement with OTHM; that recognises OTHM qualifications for entry into their BA (Hons) and Master's Level. The Thames Valley University also accredited OTHM programmes in September 2007 to allow access to their Tourism and Hospitality Degree and Postgraduate programs.

lnternational Student House (ISH)

SIRM has become the member of International Student House (ISH). ISH provides accommodation to the International student throughout the whole year. SIRM students can obtain their services by showing SIRM ID card.  For more details please log on to www.ish.org.uk
